Congratulations! Together, we made it TransWorld University on August 1, 2010!
According to the latest news released from the Ministry of Education (MOE), Transworld Institute of Technology will rename TransWorld University on August 1, 2010. Having heard this piece of good news, all of the staff members, teachers, and students burst into thunderous cheers and are later moved to tears because of years of preparation and hard-work. President Dr. Shu-Hsiang Hsu vowed that we would strive for the Top 20 Best Private Universities of Technology in Taiwan as well as one of the most prestigious ones in Asia-Pacific region, as we embark on the next phase of our long-term goal.

Transworld was founded at Hu-Shan Campus in 1992 as Transworld Junior College of Commerce and upgraded to Transworld Institute of Technology in 2000. With the inauguration of Chia-Tong Campus and continuous improvement of infrastructure resources, Transworld Institute of Technology has been positioning herself for success, especially through years of conscientious efforts, in realizing the ambition of renaming TransWorld University in 2010.

It is noteworthy that TransWorld ranked, with 14 out of 15 departments/ Gradate Institutes, in the first place among other counterparts islandwide while receiving preliminary evaluation, on-site inspection, and final evaluation from the MOE. After deliberation of several meetings, the MOE committee members concluded with the encouraging news of the birth of TransWorld University.

No pain, no gain! Noted with gratitude by President Dr. Shu-Hsiang Hsu, he considers Founder Prof. Wen-Tsu Hsu, Board of Directors, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and many others who are concerned about the well-being of TransWorld the main driving force to make the fruition of TransWorld University feasible.

It has been raining relentlessly, as plum rain season heralds. However, the rain stopped by the time commencement ceremony 2010 began. It was not until the rain started to pour again that outdoor activities had just finished. Chatting about this auspicious sign, participants joked that "We are destined for success!" And it did come true! Although it is fun to strike a conversation like this at our leisure, it is definitely a pleasant coincidence for TransWorld-ers!
